12/21/2012 The End Of The Mayan Calendar

My number pattern has involved the numbers: 12,21,122,212,221,222,1221 appearing in the strangest ways and at the strangest times. In the experiences that I share here it is important to note that the number zero in numerology is only considered a digit place holder. For example: 2012 with the zero removed is 212. 012 = 12, 120=12 etc.

When this all started in 1984 I knew nothing about the Mayan Calendar End Date of 12/21/2012. When I first heard about it in 1994 I nearly fell out of my chair! Since then I heard many theories about what it meant.  A popular theory was that it meant “ The End of The World”. Of all of theories I heard, I tended to believe that it marked the end of a cycle and the beginning of a new cycle otherwise known as “ The End of The World As We Know It”

12/21/2012 came and went and things may seem the same for some, but when I reflect on the changes that have happened in my life I could conclude that it was: (see post below)

12/21/2012: The End Of My World As I Knew It

My world started to change in April 2011 when I was laid off from the best job I ever had. Two months later I learned that my bank  was not willing to help me make it more affordable to keep my condo, so I ended up filing for bankruptcy. Could it be mere coincidence that my bankruptcy was officially filed on 12/20/2011 ( remove the zeros = 122211) Then my court hearing was on 1/20/2012 (=12212)  and my case number ended in 122! Just for fun, the numbers put together are 12221,11221,2122!

 After bankruptcy, months went by where I felt like I was stuck in a place that was void of any form of positive & productive change. 12/21/2012 came and went just like any other day.   This was not a surprise to me as I have believed for some time that the changes that the date marks started prior to it and will continue on for sometime after.

Never in my life have I experienced such a challenge. I lost the best job I ever had, I went bankrupt, I will lose my condo in foreclosure, my job search had not produced yet, and now  my condo association is taking me to court to pay for HOA dues that the bankruptcy could not absolve! If it were not for all of my spiritual studies and personal development training , I am sure I would have fallen deep into depression! I did not because I have trained myself to let go of what does not work and focus on and take effective action on what DOES work. Easy to say, but not so easy to do!

I felt stuck in an ocean of stagnation until one day when the numbers came up in such a way that I saw it as a good sign. I could feel it in my bones and it turned out to be spot on!

A day or so after I got a call from my mom. She asked me if I still wanted to sell my Dodge Neon SRT-4.

She was calling me from a car dealer because she was having her oil changed and just happened to bump into a salesman that I had talked to about my car. His son used to have one just like it, and he loved it. I have been wanting to sell it because I wanted an average everyday car that does not attract attention and has an automatic transmission.

Mom had been looking at a new car when the salesman approached her. They talked it over and then she called me and offered to sell me her car for a very reasonable price. I could not refuse because her car was in excellent condition AND it only had 36K miles on it, so I took my car to the dealer for appraisal and accepted their offer!

The following day my mom pointed out that the tag that was placed on her keychain ( for the oil change) was # 12. Then she said that there was 21 miles on the car when she saw it on the showroom floor. (Note: her address is 1221)!  Right then I thought about a job interview I had just a few days before. If hired, they would pay  $21/hr to start! There is more to share about this that I will share in a later post.

It seemed to me as if the numbers were marking out significant moments in time and I could finally feel some positive momentum happening. 

What do you REALLY want to do?

One night I had a dream where a man sitting at a desk asked me: “ What do you REALLY want to do?” I told him that I wanted to be a life coach or something that works with people instead of products and technology. The he said “ So why are you looking for a job that you may not like?” I told him that it never failed to pay the bills and that I could go broke continuing to develop a life coaching business. Then he said “ You could go broke looking  for what you don’t want to do just as easily!” I knew he had a point, and when I woke up my mind was at war over what to do.

Later that day more possibilities opened up for me and it was as if the numbers and the energy behind them were in line with all of it! Within minutes after I had posted my resume on Monster.com for a technician position, I received  an email from someone wanting to interview me for a financial advisor position! Then, 20 min. later I got a another one for selling life insurance, and then I got another one for another financial related position. I was skeptical at first because I had no sales or financial experience, but I found out from my financial advisor that this is what they prefer!

I called two of them and set up appointments for interviews.  My first interview would be in Suite #212 and the second interview would be in suite 120 on April 12^th. ( 212,12,12)

Moments after walking into suite #212 I felt an immediate sense of belonging. When I sat down with the manager he immediately started sharing how he got into the business. His story was almost identical to mine! From technician to manager with little or no on the job satisfaction or appropriate compensation.

Like me, he wanted to work with people &  be of service to them. He also had no sales experience, but he felt that it was right for him. Not long after starting he found out that he liked the work and it became lucrative for him in a very short period of time. While he was sharing his story, my dream kept popping into my head and it was as if the dream was coming true right before my eyes. I really resonated with this man, the company and it’s philosophy.

After the interview he told me that he saw me as an ideal candidate for the position and then he asked:  “What do you think?”  I told him that I felt like I was in the right place and that I wanted to say yes and get started immediately, but I had one other interview that I felt I should go to,  so that at least I knew for sure that I was making the right decision. Then he actually agreed with me! He said ” I wouldn’t want you to start here and then later wonder about what the other company had to offer”.  After he had said that,  I felt even more certain that I was in the right place. He could have pressured me, but he did the exact opposite by supporting my decision. I appreciated  that and saw it as a mark of humility, integrity  and intelligence! I saw him as a perfect role model for me in that position.

The following two mornings I woke up feeling like I did not want to work for anyone else, so I called him and told him if the offer was still open I would cancel my interview on the 12^th. I told him that when I was there I felt a very strong sense that I was in the right place. Then he said “ I felt the same thing!” "OK, done deal" I said. So not only was my horrendous  job search over I was moving into COMPLETELY different career with FAR MORE potential than being a robot/tech monkey!
